• This was a replacement for a copy I gave to a friend. A key work in Idries Shah's writings. These tales transcend the expected and move the mind to think in ways outside the confines of western education. A beautiful new edition of an important work.
• A must have for your library.
• All of Shah's books are important, but this one is a good one to start with. In addition to 'Traditions of the Prophet' and 'Meditations of Rumi', there are many of the most engaging Sufi tales - among them, 'The Magic Horse' and 'Mushkil Gusha' - a good place to start.
• Lovely stories from Morocco.
• Probably the most sincere feeling about Shah's literature.

• Because I had read Tahir Shah's writings and value that many have the hidden ancient myths I wanted to experience the writings of his Dad...
• I read this book in a day. It spans centuries, and speaks to the present. I think it's a great primer for anyone interested in studying sufism. Funny, wonderful, and enlightening.
