• My family loves pie, and my wife also remembers them from her childhood as something that always brought pleasure. But in these days of everyone being overweight, our family is no exception, and pie just makes the problem worse. So when I say this book about mini pies, I bought it to take a look at it. This is the perfect book. I can make pies of almost any type, but still control the portions. These mini pie recipes are also great for potlucks at work, as they are unusual enough to make you stand out. So far we have only tried the "Ultimate Caramel Chocolate Pecan Mini Pies, but it was delicious. There are usually full size versions of each of these recipes, but our family is concentrating in the mini pies.

• I like pie, what can I say? And I especially like mini pies. Don't know that they save calories, since you're actually getting more of the crust, which is probably a poorer choice of nutrients than the filling. But the concept of 'a whole lovely pie just for me!' (to paraphrase from the movie 'Home Alone') is appealing, to kids and adults. Now if I can just figure out how to make a light crusted mini pie, or a mini pie with the impossible (as in no knead, no rolling out, no shaping) pie type crust, I think I'd be in love....

  Lots of tips are the beginning of the book for one who's not baked pies before, also a good refresher for those who have.
  Not all recipes have pictures and there is no nutritional information although some are not made with sugar.
  Some of the recipes also have directions on how to make the recipe for the mini pie sizes. Lots of categories to choose from.
  Other works of the author are highlighted at the end.
• There are so many different types of pies , it would really come in handy to have this book on hand when you decide to make your own pie. So many easy recipes to choose from you may want to make them all. Thank you.

• I like this very much. I especially like that she gives you recipes for full pies, and separately, for the same recipe done as mini-pies. She has a section of how-to-do photos showing you exactly how to make them either in a muffin tin or mini-muffin tin. I have tried the Texas Grapefruit Pie and did like it, and I don't like many grapefruit recipes. She has a wide range of recipes, not just the usual ones.
